Robot Needs Home is a Record Label run from a room above a pub in Leicester, UK.
We were set up in 2005 to release music by a collection of homeless bands from across the east midlands, but we’ve grown to encompass artists from all over the country. We are run, in the loosest possible sense by members of the band Maybeshewill, with a great deal of help from our friends.
We like the idea of promotion by association – by collecting together musicians with a similar attitude and ethos, we hope people will use their connection to the label to discover others that they might like. We encourage the artists we work with to follow a similar DIY ethos to us – working hard to achieve things for themselves, then helping them to move on to bigger and better things…
Many of our releases are short-run CDR’s or Download only, but some are distributed by Cargo
